I have been a professional mixed martial artist since 2009. Ranked #1 in Wisconsin at 145 Lbs & #2 at 155 Lbs. Since 2009 I have had the opportunity to teach others my passion for boxing and find ways to guide them towards living a healthy lifestyle. I have spent the last few years building my professional portfolio. During this time I have bounced around gyms learning from highly experienced trainers focusing on proper technique and different styles of training. Naturally this has had an effect on my coaching style. No matter ones specific goal or sport, it is my mission to help others achieve their highest level of performance. I continue to study and teach by example.
Currently, I am pursuing an associates degree in the Dietetic Technician Program at Milwaukee Area Technical College. I am also studying exercise science & Sports Nutrition with ISSA.
MY Motto: “Failure is necessary for growth. When you become your worse critic, you become your worse enemy. Accept failure so you can learn, learn so you can grow, and remember you can succeed at anything in life as long as your hearts guiding you.”
I look forward to meeting you! Don’t worry, I only hit if you’re in the cage with me ?

Hi, I’m Erika Kluhsman, and I’m so excited to be part of the amazing team at RaceStart. I am a kindergarten teacher by day and trainer by night. Teaching young children to make good choices and try their best is very similar to teaching adults the same thing…minus a few songs and fingerplays!
I have not always been where I’m at now and I have worked hard to get where I am physically and mentally. I played sports in high school and college but would not consider myself an athlete.
It took a few years of truly struggling with my physical and emotional health to realize that I was capable of more.
I knew I wanted to be happy and healthy more than I wanted to feel sorry for myself and eat cookies. I began training and got in the habit of setting healthy intentions. I have fallen in love with the process and now I want to pay it forward and help others.
My goal in training is to empower others to see their own potential and realize that they are stronger than they think they are – this is my true passion and the main reason I decided to become a trainer at RaceStart. I am all about motivation and accountability – make small, positive, healthy choices that turn into habits so we can live our best life. It’s all about the journey and falling in love with the process of a healthy transformation.
MY MOTTO: “If you want something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done.” – Thomas Jefferson

Hi, I’m Chris, business coordinator of RaceStart and one of the head coaches. Words that I would use to describe myself are, competitive, supportive, driven, and a problem solver.
Since I can remember, I’ve had a passion for sports. I am originally from Poland, so naturally soccer has had a big impact on me. I guess you could say this is where my competitive drive originated from. Since my days of running up and down the field, I have conquered the Chicago marathon, competed in numerous CrossFit events, snowboarded down the Rocky Mountains, Snatched more than my own body weight, and have done more muscle ups than I can count.
Over the last few years I have been developing my background in strength and mobility training. I have learned how to do the common uncommonly well, and found a new passion for teaching the knowledge that I have gained.
At my full-time job I am a master certified auto technician, where I perform physical tasks every day. RaceStart helps me decressse my stressors from work and allows me to perform my job safely and more efficiently. Since training at RS I have noticed an improvement in my strength, stamina, balance, and reflexes. As I continue to get older my body feels stronger and healthier than ever.
I look forward to being a part of this community and working with you all! Any questions? Get in touch with me.

Hi, I’m Antonette Race, founder of RaceStart Training. Words that best define me are: wife, sister, friend, coach, athlete, and entrepreneur. Over the last 10 years I’ve worked at several franchise and CrossFit facilities. After joining the CrossFit community in 2011, it’s safe to say that CrossFit has heavily impacted my training and coaching.
My style of training is very open minded. I have studied and experimented with many different training methods. Growing up I was a 4 year varsity athlete in basketball and track & field -Naturally this had an effect. In college, I discovered the sport of Ultimate Frisbee (not to be confused with Frisbee Golf), and went on to win the championship! This has fueled my competitive drive in life, and given my coaching style a well rounded edge. After years of building a background in exercise science, and training with some of the best local coaches and athletes, RaceStart Training was born.
I believe in educating clients to help them understand why they are practicing specific exercises, rather than just instructing. My passion and belief in what I preach continues to drive clients until they become the best version of themselves. Steve Jobs said it best, “Surround yourself with those who see greatness within you, even when you don’t see it in yourself”. I have an excellent history with mentoring others to achieve what once seemed to be impossible- and that is why I love what I do.
MY MOTTO: “You can’t continue to do the same thing and expect to see different results”.
