RaceStart Coach, Jordan Grifffin, Turned Pro UFC Fighter

Please note that there will be quite a few changes to our class schedule to watch for in February.

One of which, is Jordan’s LAST class. Coach Jordan will no longer be training on Monday nights. Rather, he is redirecting his focus on his own strength training program- Which I completely agree and will support him with. Together, Jordan and myself will be working one on one in preparation of his next UFC fight. So rest assured, we’ll still see our champ around RaceStart 🙂

Jordan’s main focus right now is taking his strength and fitness to the next level now that he is competing on a different platform. Jordan anticipates his next UFC fight to be set for either May or June. We’ll know more specifics soon. Jordan’s MRI was postponed until yesterday, and he’s still waiting on the results. This will play a big factor in the upcoming events.

Cardio Combat will no longer be available after February 4th.

  • Starting February 5th every Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 morning class will be power lifting + KB conditioning with Stevan
  • Starting Monday, February 11th, Erika will be coaching our tabata class at 5:30. Yep, you heard me correctly…Tabata will be moved from Thursday to Monday.
  • Starting Tuesday, February 12th Olympic lifting & conditioning will be coached by Amanda on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
  • Starting Friday, February 15th 4PM class will now be Kettlebells, coached by Antonette.
  • All other classes remain the same
  • Updated calendar coming soon

New Summer Group Fitness Classes

Hello warriors! After all the waiting, summer is ALMOST upon us. It always seems like our winters last forever and then all of a sudden summer is here. As quickly as summer pops up, it’s gone. Now I understand the meaning of the song Summertime Sadness 😉

Lets celebrate the summer 2017 by adding more group classes!

Erika will be coaching our new class, Rise & Grind. This class will be offered every Monday and Wednesday morning at 5:30 A.M.. This class will be an addition to our existing class, Koffee & Kettlebells (#kkbells) class which is offered every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings with Bryan.

Rise & Grind is beginning as soon as THIS WEDNESDAY,  June 7th. These classes will be offered for a limited time, so make sure to take advantage of them!

Rise & Grid is a group fitness class that mixes traditional calisthenic and body weight movements with interval and strength training.

We offer a variety of fitness styles that are designed in a way to push participants harder than they’d push themselves. Be prepared for anything- indoor/outdoor experience. Running, hill climbing, stair work, MB carries/runs, Sandbag work, etc.

Class Goal:

  • Restore balance in your life
  • Keep your workouts fun, yet challenging
  • Reduce anxiety and stress
  • Bring out your inner athlete

Combat Cardio

Currently, RaceStart is offering Cardio Combat, led by instructor and Professional MMA fighter, Jordan Griffin, who is currently ranked #1 (145lb weight class) in Wisconsin and King of the Cage! Jordan’s classes are offered Saturdays at 7:30A.M. and Sundays at 8:00 A.M.

Our boxing classes take place in an intimate setting. You will learn proper boxing technique and movements that the professionals use and will help you develop speed, agility, coordination and power. Each class consists of four rounds of 4 minute high intensity training. The first round consists of boxing, followed by circuit training and ending with shadow boxing and/or core finisher.

Jordan’s Back with a NEW CLASS

Hi warriors! I just wanted to give a big shout out to Jordan Griffin and welcome his return to coaching at RaceStart! We are excited to have Jordan on our team as well as seeing his charming smile back at the gym! 
Jordan will begin coaching a noon class every Tuesday and Thursday, starting THIS WEEK! Again, RaceStart is lucky to have Jordan and we look forward to seeing him around the gym more often 🙂
