  • Returning guests: Drop in for $20 (pay at the door, cash only)
  • First time visitors: This event is FREE for first time guests! If the new visitor signs up for a package that day they will receive 1/2  off their first month of unlimited group classes!
  • Warriors: If YOUR GUEST signs up at the party for group classes, YOU will SAVE 10% on your November group class package.

CELEBRATE VALENTINE’S DAY @RACESTART

Today is the anniversary of the FIRST DAY we had our FIRST WORKOUT @ RaceStart Training!

EXACTLY 1 YEAR FROM TODAY- JUST 1 week after we moved in!

In that 1 year my husband and I put our blood, sweat, and tears into this place- Our “home away from home”. I am so thankful to have such a supportive husband. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the struggle is real.  This man has seen me at my highs and at my very lows. Luckily for us our lows never seem to be as bad when we know we have each other.

Echo Rings for strength and stability

Saturday’s Class (Weekend Warrior) is sure to help you stick to your goals for later in the night when that dessert tray comes your way. Suddenly my voice will pop into your head. You’ll be thinking how GOOD your abs, arms, legs, etc. HURT. It’s a ‘hurt so good’ kind of workout. You’ll be sure to remember how hard YOU pushed yourself during class.

(it’s cruel to be kind) 😉

If you do decide to indulge over the weekend don’t let that one bite of chocolate (or other yummy sugary goodness) lead to dirty old habits. Don’t lose site of your goals.

Athlete of the Month, RaceStart Training Milwaukee

Saturday’s workouts are always designed to have FUN! If you’re not allowing yourself to smile or to just let loose for an hour, then you’re missing part of the benefit! It’s your workout! Whatever you put in is exactly what you get out of it (sound familiar…?)

FUN DOES NOT MEAN EASY

Fun does not mean to become lazy and break good form.

Fun simply means to allow yourself to enjoy being present in the moment and work on your goals.

Also, take that time to reflect on how far you’ve come from where you were this time last year! If you’re still not where you want to be, then you know something has to change. You can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results. (If you tell me that you haven’t heard this before I will SCREAM!!!) 😉

There will always be room for improvement, but we aren’t going to achieve ANY goals by making excuses!

Get up and move! I can guarantee that your body will thank you!

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY EVENT

WORKOUT, PALEO POTLUCK, WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT EXCHANGE…

Does it get any better than that? So here’s the deal…

COME AND CELEBRATE WITH RACESTART FOR OUR 2nd ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY!

Participate in a kick butt workout, enjoy some healthy treats, and get in the holiday spirit with a white elephant gift exchange! (there may or may not be some Bing Crosby playing in the background) 😉

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12th

FEE: (pay@door)

$15 if you bring a ‘White Elephant’ Gift and paleo snack

$20 if you “forget” your snack

10AM-11:15AM: WORKOUT (team workout)

11:15AM: FOOD, HOLIDAY CHEER, AND GIFT EXCHANGE!

There will be a food sign-up sheet on the White Board…make sure to let us know what you’re brining so we have a great variety!

It is ENCOURAGED not required that you participate in the white elephant gift exchange.

IF YOU DO CHOOSE TO PARTICIPATE bring one wrapped present and don’t put your name on it.

WHAT IS A WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT PARTY?

White elephant parties have been known to result in playful rivalries between players trying to get sought-after items. The goal of a white elephant party is usually to entertain rather than to gain.

Gifts are typically inexpensive, humorous items or used items from home. The term white elephant refers to a gift whose maintenance costs exceed its usefulness.

Each participant supplies one wrapped gift. The gifts are placed in a central location, and participants determine in what order they will take turns selecting them

WHITE ELEPHANT RULES:

We start out with a bowl full of numbers and randomly draw a number- that will determine the order of which we select gifts. The person who drew #1  opens a wrapped gift and the turn ends. On subsequent turns, each person can open a new present or gets the choice to “steal” another person’s unwrapped gift. When a person’s gift is stolen, that person can either choose another wrapped gift to open or can steal from another player. The game is over when the last person goes and the first person goes again

WORKOUT: 

TEAM WORKOUT…and pumpkins might or might not be involved ?

Everyone is invited. The less people we have the harder the workout will be…This is a good thing to keep in mind (hint, hint;)

RECRUITS!!! WE NEED RECRUITS!!! BRING YOUR BUDDY! BRING YOUR PAL! 

If you go to a Halloween party the night before, don’t let that stop you from joining in on the FUN…You wouldn’t want to let your teammates down;)

PALEO POTLUCK:

After our workout we’ll enjoy some yummy paleo treats!  I encourage everyone to bring a PALEO snack of some sort, although it is not a requirement.

(crock pot is the way to go or even coconut water)

As we’ve learned from past Potluck events….more people who bring treats = more leftovers = less food prep work on Sunday #winning #eatlikeacaveman

MY RANT:

No one says you can’t go out and enjoy a good party every once and awhile….in fact I encourage you to!…LIVE A LITTLE! But don’t let that set you back from reaching your fitness goals. By this I mean, go out and enjoy yourself …have fun with your friends! Just don’t let yourself get a case of the “lazies” the next day… Get up, and move! It’s a new day, enjoy the memories from the party, and get ready to make more memories with #TeamRaceStart (PartyAid is now available)
